Sterling Silver Embossed Rope Earrings

Inspired by candle lanterns, I created these one of a kind sterling silver earrings.  I embossed a wavy rope pattern into the metal with a hydraulic press and assembled the cylindrical shapes with sterling silver wire.  Then I took two pieces for each earring and connected them with blue embroidery floss sewn through the holes on each side. This gives the earring both a splash of color and some movement.  Overall these earrings are very lightweight and fun to wear. They have sterling silver posts and come with standard sterling silver earring backs.  Each individual earring is approximately 3/4 inches (1.9 cm) in diameter by 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm) long.
