The center of this remarkable sterling silver necklace features a bezel set fern fossil from St Clair, Pennsylvannia. This black shale fossil is a Alethopteris seed fern from 300 million years ago. The stationary pendant is approximately 2 1/4 inches (5.8 cm) wide by 1 1/8 inches (2.9 cm) tall on a 1.95 mm cable chain. The total necklace length is 20 inches with a lobster clasp.
