Conch Shell Pattern Ovals, Gouache Painting

Starting with a small conch shell, this pattern formed as it was drawn numerous times reflected and rotated.  It was then cut into two ovals 10.5 inches (26.7 cm) wide by 7.5 inches (19.1 cm) tall and mounted onto an illustration board 15 inches (38.1 cm) wide by 20 inches (50.8 cm) tall.  The ovals are painted with gouache paint featuring a pastel spectrum in the top oval and a darker, more vibrant version in the bottom.
