A comic style illustration has a girl accidently knock her teddy bear out of bed and become distressed and vulnerable even though she's asleep. Her mother comes in to check on her, gives her back her teddy bear, and tucks her back into bed. The girl then sleeps soundly and contently with her teddy bear at her side.

Great for a kid's room or for anyone that loves teddy bears. Also shows how great moms can be when they save the day with simple deeds like giving a child back its security blanket.

This original work was painted with gouache on an 11x17 inch (27.9cm x 43.2 cm) illustration board. The painting is approximately 10 inches (25.4 cm) wide by 16 inches (40.6 cm) tall on the board with a 1/2 inch border. This painting is unframed.

What is gouache?  Gouache is a form of paint that is a cross between watercolor and acrylic.  It behaves more like watercolor in the way it reacts as you paint it, but has more opacity and if applied with little to no water added, it can be completely opaque with solid colors much like acrylic paint.

This work is featured in Exhibizone’s ‘Toys and Joys’ online group exhibit.
